PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of suppressing flexural deformation of a columnar post by easily enhancing rigidity of a fixing unit fixing the upper and lower end parts of the columnar post.SOLUTION: The upper surface of a cylinder body 31 is formed into a reversed V shape, and thereby the cross sectional shape of the cylinder body 31 is such a shape that a portion on a position side where the lower end part of a columnar post 69 is fixed is made gradually larger than the outside portion of the cylinder body 31. Consequently, rigidity in a vertical direction can be enhanced, and flexural deformation of the columnar post 69 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
