<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a program which comprises a video telephone function and an audio telephone function and automatically selects either the video telephone function or the audio telephone function according to the condition of the terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone 60 to be a portable terminal detects whether a cover 2 is in an "open" state at terminating with a video telephone call or originating it, and, if in the "open" state, a call button 21 is pressed to start talking by the video telephone function, or, if in a "closed" state, a side call button 23 is pressed to start talking by the audio telephone function. This eliminates the need of the button selecting operation, etc. for selecting the telephone function, and hence the talking by the optimum telephone function can be made just after terminating or originating according to the condition of the portable telephone 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
