PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for automobile tufted carpet by which an automobile tufted carpet can be manufactured with a high yield rate, the automobile tufted carpet having a high basis weight part and a low basis weight part accurately positioned at predetermined target positions.SOLUTION: A raw material 1 for automobile tufted carpet is formed by planting pile yarn 5 on base fabric and provided with a plurality of carpet forming parts 6 along a longitudinal direction of the raw material, from which pieces of automobile tufted carpet 2 are formed. Each carpet forming part includes a high basis weight part 7 on which the pile yarn is planted with a high weight per unit area and a low basis weight part 8 on which the pile yarn is planted with a low weight per unit area, lower than the high weight per unit area. Further, an extremely-low basis weight part 9 is formed between the neighboring carpet forming parts 6, on which the pile yarn is planted with an extremely low weight per unit area, lower than the low weight per unit area. The extremely low basis weight part has the number of stitches less than that of the low basis weight part 8. |
