<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable proper output of a voice information signal in subscriber equipment 40 of a notification broadcast system using an optical fiber cable television network, by correctly operating an optical receiver for receiving an optical transmission signal for voice information even in the event of interruption in power supply, thereby enabling reception of notification broadcast even in case of power failure. <P>SOLUTION: In network center transmission equipment 10, a voice information signal mixed with a television video signal is made to branch by means of a distributor 21, and the voice information signal is converted to an optical transmission signal by means of a second optical transmitter 22, which is transmitted.
