<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device capable of moving a correction lens at a high speed when energized and not easily causing the position fluctuation of the correction lens when not energized; and also to provide an optical pickup device using the lens driving device. <P>SOLUTION: The lens driving device comprises: first and second guide shafts 4 and 5 provided in a base unit 1; a movable lens holder 2 supported movably along the first and second guide shafts 4 and 5; magnets 11a and 11b provided in the base unit 1; horizontal drive coils 14a and 14b provided in the movable lens holder 2, for receiving electromagnetic force in the longitudinal direction of the first and second guide shafts 4 and 5 by making a current flow; a vertical drive coil 13 provided in the movable lens holder 2, for receiving the electromagnetic force for generating rotary torque centering on the first guide shaft 4 by making the current flow; and a magnetic piece 15 provided in the movable lens holder 2, for receiving magnetic force for generating the rotary torque centering on the first guide shaft 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
