The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus to occupying a channel which follow a regulatory requirement of an unlicensed band, and can fairly coexist with other existing unlicensed band apparatuses. Provided are the method and the apparatus for occupying a channel of an unlicensed band through the following steps: performing channel sensing on a channel; and broadcasting a reserved signal on the channel when the channel is empty after completing channel sensing.
