The present invention relates to an audio signal processing apparatus and method for performing efficient binaural rendering for a 3D audio object signal and a 3D audio channel signal. For this purpose, the present invention provides the audio signal processing apparatus for performing binaural filtering for an input audio signal, the audio signal processing apparatus comprising: a first filtering unit which generates a first side output signal by filtering an input audio signal using a first side transfer function; and a second filtering unit which generates a second side output signal by filtering the input audio signal using a second side transfer function; wherein the first side transfer function and the second side transfer function are generated by modifying an Interaural Transfer Function (ITF) obtained by dividing a first side Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) for the input audio signal by a second side HRTF. The present invention also provides the audio signal processing method using the audio signal processing apparatus. |
