The present invention relates to a toilet having a function for opening and closing a toilet seat cover. According to the present invention, the toilet (P) having a function for opening and closing a toilet seat cover comprises: a body unit to allow a user to sit and urinate or defecate; a cover unit hinge-mounted on an end of a toilet seat on one side of an upper portion of the body unit; a pedal unit arranged adjacent to one side of the body unit to be pushed by a hand or a foot to open and close the cover unit; a hinge drive unit constructed on each end of the toilet seat to vertically drive the hinge-mounted cover unit by driving the pedal unit to open and close the cover unit; and a wire connected to one side of the pedal unit, wherein the other side thereof is connected to the hinge drive unit to drive the hinge drive unit to vertically operate the cover unit according to an opening/closing operation of the pedal unit. Accordingly, a lever disposed on one side of the toilet seat cover can be easily opened and closed by the hand or the foot. Also, the toilet can be easily installed on a toilet seat by a structure of hinge-mounting on the toilet seat cover. Since the toilet has a simple structure, manufacturing costs and installation costs are reduced. |
