PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OSNR (optical signal-to-noise ratio) monitoring device with an efficiently enhanced system performance by improving the accuracy in optical signal-to-noise ratio calculation, and to provide an OSNR monitoring method and a receiver.SOLUTION: The OSNR (optical signal-to-noise ratio) monitoring device includes: a signal processing section 101 that performs non-linear processing on a pilot signal in a received signal, or on a pilot signal in the received signal and data signals within a predetermined range neighboring to the pilot signal; and a calculation section 102 that calculates the OSNR in the received signal based on a result of the non-linear processing. With this, complication in the calculation is reduced without performing non-linear processing on the entire received signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
