The present invention relates to a character display method for a visually impaired person using a haptic pattern, a touch screen to which the method is applied, and a display device using the same. Using a touch screen in which a touch panel for detecting a location touched by a user and an electro-sensitive panel for transmitting electrical stimulation to a contacted body element are integrally coupled, the present invention: configures multiple character cells, each of which includes a couple of neighboring unit cells, on the touch screen; establishes a configuration to enable each of the unit cells to provide a different haptic texture through a different electrical stimulation pattern; and establishes a configuration to enable a character cell to express various character symbols such as a Korean letter, an English alphabet, a number, or a special character through a combination of various haptic textures provided by the couple of unit cells, so that the user can recognize a haptic pattern transmitted to his/her finger so as to recognize a content recorded on the touch screen, in a step for providing text information through a combination of said character symbols and scanning, by the user, the touch screen using the finger. |
