An apparatus according to the present invention is an apparatus for monitoring a protection object by interworking with at least one sensor for sensing the protection object within a sensing area and transmitting a sensing signal through wireless communication, the apparatus being provided with a tag containing tag information including ID information of the apparatus, and comprising: a guiding induction unit which is formed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the sensor or a guiding line provided in the sensor, and which is provided at the outside of a housing; a reader which is provided in the guiding induction unit, and recognizes the tag information of the sensor when the sensor is guided by the guiding induction unit to be close to the reader; a setting storage unit which stores the tag information inputted by the reader; a selection unit which selects an in-house sensing signal containing identification information corresponding to the ID information stored in the setting storage unit among the signals transmitted through wireless communication; and a control unit which generates activity level data for the protection object using the selected in-house sensing signal, and transmits the generated activity level data to a server.
