The method involves sending accident information to a gateway equipment (30) in case of an accident of a motor vehicle, and obtaining information relative to a geographical position of the vehicle. An emergency call request is sent from the equipment to nomad equipment (40) of a driver/passenger of the vehicle via a wireless connection (60) e.g. Bluetooth(RTM: Not defined). An emergency call including the information relative to the geographical position of the vehicle is sent from the nomad equipment to an emergency call processing assistance plate. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle`s emergency calling device comprising a gateway equipment.
