PURPOSE:To obtain multilayered Ni alloy plating having remarkably improved corrosion resistance by making the concn. of a metalloid element different between plated Ni alloy layers and providing the relation that the outer layer is baser than the inner layer by a prescribed voltage or above. CONSTITUTION:Plural plated Ni alloy layers are formed on the surface of a material to be plated with a conventional Ni-P alloy plating bath or the like as an Ni-metalloid element alloy electroplating bath. In this case, the fact that the amount of the metalloid element deposited in a plated alloy film is reduced in accordance with the increase of current density in the plating bath is utilized, and plated Ni alloy layers are formed so that they have the relation that the outer layer is baser than the inner layer by >=30mV. Thus, Ni-metalloid element alloy plating giving remarkably superior corrosion resistance can be carried out without deteriorating the characteristics of a material plated with the Ni-metalloid element alloy.
