PURPOSE:To easily manufacture an Fe-Cr-Al alloy foil in high yield, by subjecting a molten alloy having a specific composition consisting of Fe, Cr, Al, Ti, V, Nb, Zr, Ta, Mo, W, Mn, and B to rapid solidification and then to cold rolling. CONSTITUTION:The molten alloy which has a composition represented by a chemical formula Fe100-x-y-zCrxAlyMz (where M means at least one element among Ti, V, Nb, Zr, Ta, Mo, W, Mn, and B and the symbols (x), (y), and (z) stand for, by weight, 15.0-35.0%, 1.0-15.0% and 0.03-3.0% respectively) or the one further containing, if necessary, 0.01-1.0% REM (where REM means rare earth elements including Y) is continuously supplied by means of a pouring nozzle onto a cooling body whose cooling surface is renewably moving at high speed, by which the above molten metal is rapidly solidified to be formed into a foil. After that, cold rolling is applied to the above foil at a draft, preferably, of <=about 70%. In this way, the Fe-Cr-Al foil minimal in flaw and scab can be obtained easily in high yield.
