<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent optical pickup capable of increasing the high order resonance frequency of an objective lens drive means and providing high positioning accuracy of an objective lens. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup comprises the objective lens for converging light to the recording surface of an optical disk and a lens holder for holding the objective lens, and the fitting part for loading the objective lens of the lens holder is provided with a notched part where a part of a surface to mount the objective lens is dug down and an adhesion groove adjacent to the notched part and dug down shallower than the notched part.
