A free-running roller coupling transmits in both directions of rotation a torque between two structural members. This coupling has an outer ring (1) in which clamping tracks (4, 5) are formed by recesses. An inner element (9) has a cylindrical clamping track. Pairs of clamping rollers (6, 7) prestressed by a pressure spring (8) against the ramp-like end of each clamping track (4, 5) are arranged between the clamping track (10) of the inner element (9) and the clamping tracks (4, 5) of the outer ring (1). In order to simplify the design of such a coupling and to allow the outer ring (1) to easily swivel in relation to the fixed inner element (9), the unblocking arrangement (11) has comb-like carriers (12) that extend through slots (16, 17) in an edge (14) of the outer ring (1). These comb-like carriers (12) unblock at the same time the free-running rollers and allow the outer ring (1) to be driven by a switching sleeve (13).
