The plastics barrel comprises a body (1) with an inner bag (3), folded over its edge (4) and a lid (2) with annular groove (5), contg. a sealing ring (11). The lid has on the inside a cover (10) which is made from a deep-drawn plastics foil disc (10). The inside (9) of the lid has a ring extension (8), over which the cover disc is stretched flat to cover a cavity (14). Ventilation channels can be provided between the lid and cover disc.
