<p>PURPOSE:To improve the loadability and refeedability of sheets by varying the regulating range of side fences regulating the sheets on an intermediate tray, according to the number of paper feeding sheets. CONSTITUTION:When a compensation value of paper width is inputted into a sizing degree from an operating part 79 in accord with the paper width, and a central pinion 83 is driven by driving force of a stepping motor 7 by way of a motor driver 77 through a belt 82 via a gear, pulley trains 80, 81, racks 85, 86 are shifted as far as the same displacement in the opposite direction each, thereby performing fine adjustment of a distance between both side guides 41 and 42. At the time of sheet loading on an intermediate tray 17, the first (Ns-n) sheet regulates a regulating range between both the side fences 41 and 42 to be somewhat broad. At the time of loading the later (n) sheet, the regulating range at time of refeeding the sheet from the intermediate tray 17 is widened to sane extent. With this constitution, loadability at the time of loading the first (Ns-n) sheet is improved and simultaneously any feeding failure in the sheet is eliminated.</p> |
