<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording-signal control apparatus wherein no irregularity in the picture quality of a replayed image is caused due to a frequency band, an inversion phenomenon can be prevented, a prescribed S/N ratio is ensured and a good picture quality corresponding to the performance of a magnetic tape can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:A system-control microcomputer 12 records test signals F1, F2 on a magnetic tape 9 from a test-signal generation circuit. Then, the magnetic tape 9 is rewound, and a replay test signal is replayed. Test-signal-level detection circuits 17, 18 detect an input from a replay head at frequency spectra f1, f2, and pieces of information at respective signal levels are input to a tape- simulator microcomputer 19 and stored in a memory 20. Thereby, a frequency characteristic with reference to the loaded magnetic tape 9 is judged, and a correction value according to the frequency characteristic is set in a recording equalizer circuit 6. A video signal to be recorded is input to the recording equalizer circuit 6, the frequency characteristic is corrected, and the video signal is recorded on the magnetic tape 9 by a rotary magnetic head 8.</p> |
