PURPOSE: To obtain the subject gene giving plants resistant against diseases, pests, temperatures, dryness, etc., by breeding the DNA of a Solanum plant in Solanaceae by a polymerase chain reaction using a specific base sequence oligomer as a primer. CONSTITUTION: The new protein kinase gene playing an important role in the signal transmission system of a plant, and capable of artificially controlling the signal transmission system of the plant and breeding the plant expressing resistance against diseased, pests, high temperatures, dryness, low temperatures, injuries, etc., is obtained by breeding either of the genom DNA and cDNA of a Solanum plant in Solanaceae by a polymerase chain reaction using as a primer an oligonucleoticle expressed by two base sequences selected from a base sequence group comprising sequences of formulas I and II and a base sequence group comprising sequences of formulas III, IV, etc., respectively. |
