<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking mechanism of magnetic recording device which has a small number of components and reduced dimensions, whose assembly work is rationalized to reduce the cost and, further, which can apply a tension to a tape effectively. SOLUTION: As a tension band 2 wound on a reel stand 1 can not apply a tension to a tape unless the tape is running, a tension must be applied to the tape at the time of loading by another means and the tape must be locked at the time of stopping by another means. For those purposes, a braking lever 12 is provided and a pressing part 12a which applies a tension to the braking lever at the time of loading and a claw part 12b which locks the tape at the time of stopping are provided. Further, the braking lever 12 is energized in a certain direction by a braking lever spring 15. In accordance with the operation of a tape operating mechanism, a brake driving angle is operated and a bend raising part 13a is pressed against or separated from the guide pin part 12c of the braking lever 12 to control the turn of the braking lever 12.</p> |
