<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a scroll extent by calculating the difference between a fixed coordinate position and a designated coordinate position and setting the scroll extent per unit time. SOLUTION: When a user depresses a single point of a coordinate input means 13 set on a display screen of a display means 12 by means of a pen, a point of the display screen of the means 12 set right under the depressed point is designated. Thus, a designated point is decided. Then a CPU 32 calculates the distance between the designated point and a reference point. Furthermore, the CPU 32 scrolls the data display part that is shown on the display screen of the means 12 via a relay point set between both designated and reference points so as to show the image shown at a point equal to the designated point at a point equal to the reference point.
