<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber and plastic power cable by which a danger of existence of an external damage reaching a cable insulator can be detected without carrying out a withstand voltage test when the cable insulator is damaged by a conductive foreign article. SOLUTION: In a rubber and plastic power cable composed by successively providing a metal shield layer 5, a presser tape winding layer 6 and a corrosion protective layer 7 outside a cable core consisting of a conductor 1, an internal semiconductive layer 2, a rubber and plastic insulator layer 3 and an external semiconductive layer 4, nonwoven fabric with a conductive layer 6b on its one side is used for the presser tape winding layer 6, and the conductive layer 6 is wound without being brought into contact with the metal shield layer 5.</p> |
