Vacuum suction plate for esp. printed circuit boards has suction bores surrounded by inflateable ring seals to compensate for manufacturing tolerances in boards

The plate has a holder surface with suction bores connected to a vacuum source. The surface (2) has inflateable seals (4) around the suction bores (3), each forming a concentric closed ring. When not inflated, the seals are flush with the surface. Bores and seals form modular units (5) fitted flush into holder openings (6) in the plate. Each seal is of elastic material and is contained in a ring groove (7) with support ring (8).
