PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner with higher reliability in which temperature rise of a driving section of a compressor is reduced. SOLUTION: An inverter 8 for driving a compressor 1 and a heat dissipator 9a for cooling a converter 9 are mounted on a refrigerant piping 101a of a refrigeration cycle 100 wherein refrigerant pressure is detected by a pressure sensor 13 and is inputted into a CPU 11a of a controller 11. The CPU 11a compares a threshold Pth of refrigerant pressure stored in a memory 11b and a detected value, and then the detected value is high, a cooling capability is judged low to limit an output current of the converter 9. Thus, temperature rise of a circuit element in a MOSFET, etc., is restricted to improve reliability.
