The invention relates to a billboard pillar having a pedestal (3) supporting a vertical pole (4), on which a pillar casing (1) that can rotate around a vertical axis is mounted, wherein a rotational drive device is assigned to the casing (1). The pole (4) extends along part of the height of the casing (1), the top side of said pole releasably supporting a shaft (6) located slightly above the center of gravity of the casing. Said shaft is mounted on an axle flange (8) placed on the pole (4) and is rigidly connected to the casing (1) by at least three support arms (7). The pole (4) has pillar casing centering rollers (22) in its lower section which rotate around a vertical axis for supporting the casing (1). A friction wheel (13) driven by an electrical motor (12) is provided in the lower section of the casing (1) as a rotational drive mechanism. Said friction wheel rolls on a drive or stop ring (14) or directly on the inner side of the casing (1). |
