PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation of the temperature of the paper passage area of a fixing roller from a permissible specific temperature range in the case of consecutive image formation and to enable image formation free from a failure in fixing. SOLUTION: A temperature detection sensor 24 detects the temperature of the paper non-passage area of a fixing roller. Reference temperatures are set in advance for the temperature of the paper non-passage area, and the reference numbers of sheets which decrease in increasing order of temperature are stored in a storage part 42. Upon the start of consecutive copying, a CPU 41 transmits a signal to a paper passage control part 44 and implements a copying operation at a first copying-speed in the first instance. After the paper non-passage area reaches the first reference-temperature and subsequently a number of recorded sheets counted by a counter 45 reaches the reference number of sheets corresponding to the first reference-temperature, the CPU 41 transmits a signal to the paper passage control part 44 and implements a copying operation at a second copying-speed that is lower than the first copying-speed. |
