AUTOTHERMAL REFORMING CATALYST AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FUEL GAS FOR FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an autothermal reforming catalyst hard to generate the precipitation of carbon even under a condition of a low steam/carbon ratio in an autothermal reforming reaction and having sufficient activity and life. SOLUTION: The autothermal reforming catalyst is obtained by supporting rhodium on a carrier containing 5-40 mass % of cerium oxide or a rare earth element oxide based on cerium oxide, 60-95 mass % of aluminum oxide and 0-10 mass % of at least one kind of element selected from alkali metals and alkaline earth metals as metal equivalent. An atomic ratio (Ce/Rh) of cerium to rhodium is 1-250.
