PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum valve easily relaxing the electric field at a metallized part, having a structure made to have good workability without increasing the number of parts, having a reduced cost. SOLUTION: The vacuum valve is composed of a vacuum container having a cylindrical insulation container and end plate assemblies jointed to both ends of the insulation container vacuum-sealing the inside of the vacuum container, and a pair of electrodes contact/separation freely installed in the vacuum container. The end plate assemblies is composed of an end plate having an inner end part jointed to the electrode and a jointing part extended toward the insulation container, and an end part metal fitting having an outer end part jointed to the insulation container and a jointing part jointed to the end plate. At least either the end part metal fitting or the end plate is extended to the neighboring area of a jointing part between the insulation container and the end part metal fitting, thus, a shielding part providing the jointing part with the electric field relaxing function is provided.
