PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge for reducing the manufacturing costs of a spring member for locking. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge comprises a leader pin 8 fixed to the tip of a magnetic tape; a case body in which upper and lower cases are included, a tape drawing out port capable of drawing out the magnetic tape is formed on the side, and a leader pin storage section capable of storing upper and lower sections 32a, 32b of the leader pin 8 is formed near the tape drawing out port in the upper and lower cases; and the spring members 9a, 9b that are provided in the case body, control the movement of the leader pin 8 by allowing a contact surface 52 to come into contact with or approach a side 35 at both the ends of a leader pin 6 stored into a leader pin storage section, and are elastically deformed when the leader pin 8 is drawn for removing the control. In this case, the contact surface 52 of the spring members 9a, 9b is bent and formed while the contact surface 52 projects toward the side 35 as heading for the center section in up and down directions.
