PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system and its method responding to an existing network environment and used for discovering and configuring a safe network topology including dynamic detection and configuring of a proper hardware or software solution. SOLUTION: In one embodiment of this application, a broadcast mechanism is used for realizing hardware device discovery; and an application programming interface realizes discovery of a software firewall. In another embodiment thereof, a polling technique is used for ensuring that the configuring of a gateway device is not changed. Such kind of change endangers a protected network.
