<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accounting management device which can speedily correspond to acknowledgement permission of a request content by a customer and can uniformly manage accounting on a plurality of image forming devices irrespective of a maker. <P>SOLUTION: Use quantity (counter information) on a model that can remotely be managed is collected by remote communication, and a use charge is calculated based on it. If a term date comes, an electronic mail for urging access to a web page for request acknowledgement is transmitted to the customer. The request content to the customer is displayed through the web page and acknowledgement/denial is received. The customer is caused to recognize counter information in a display part or the like of the image forming apparatus on a model that cannot remotely be managed such as the other company machine. The customer is caused to declare counter information by oneself through the prescribed web page. The use charge is immediately calculated and an amount billed is displayed.
