<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a comparison processing time with respect to a transport stream processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Bits to be compared from among section data are stored in section data buffers 101a, 101b, and the comparison of the bits with each of a plurality of entries is performed not per bit but per entry. Accordingly, the comparison processing can be finished when a bit matches some entry.
