PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image processing method, and an image processing program capable of easily adding information for retrieval to an image data which has been read. SOLUTION: When a user inputs information concerning classification of image data from an operation part 20 before an image reading part 10 reads the image data, a mode setting part 12 sets a mode showing the classification of image data based on the information. When the image reading part 10 reads the image data by a parameter optimized based on the mode, a mode addition part 14 adds the mode to the image data. By this arrangement, the mode that can be used as a keyword for retrieval can be added to the image data easily, and retrieval of the image data can be made easily and at high speed.
