<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode light source unit which is excellent in a heat radiation property; and to provide a light emitting diode light source. <P>SOLUTION: This LED light source unit 1 comprises a long base 2 formed of a metal with high heat conductance and having a generally trapezoidal cross section, a plurality of LED elements 4 mounted on the upper surface of the base 2, and a printed board 3 arranged on the upper surface of the base 2, and has, at each of both ends of the printed board 3, a pair of terminal electrodes 3e and 3f electrically connected to the respective electrodes of the LED elements 4 through a wiring pattern; and the upper surface of the base 2 excluding the terminal electrode parts is sealed by a translucent resin 7. Semicylindrical cutout parts 8 are formed on both end surfaces of the LED light source unit 1; and this line type LED light source is formed by screwing a plurality of the LED light source units 1 in one heat radiation plate by making both their longitudinal end surfaces abut one each other and by overlaying connection boards each having an electrode surface for connecting the terminal electrodes of the adjacent LED light source units 1 to each other in the abutting parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
