PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denture fixing agent capable of mounting the denture in an oral cavity without making a person feel unpleasant sweetness. SOLUTION: This denture fixing agent includes water, ethanol and cellulose derivative of 11-25%, and 2% viscosity of the cellulose derivative under 25°C is 30-45 mPas. The cellulose derivatives include water-soluble cellulose such as methylcellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxylated alkylcellulose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose and the like), carboxymethyl cellulose, alkali metal carboxymethylcellulose (carboxymethylcellulose sodium, carboxymethylcellolose potassium and the like) and alkali metal cellulose sulphate. The hydroxylated alkylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose and alkali metal carboxymethylcellulose are preferable among them, and the carboxymethylcellulose sodium is more preferable.
