<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which can reduce a transmission delay time. <P>SOLUTION: The device has: a photosensitive element 20 which receives an optical signal and generates a current signal in accordance with the optical signal; a converter 30 which converts the current signal to a voltage signal; reference voltage generators 70, 80 which generate a reference voltage; a threshold voltage generator 50 which generates a threshold voltage signal with a smaller amplitude than the voltage signal on the basis of an area almost near a central in an amplitude range of the voltage signal, and is delayed for a prescribed time from the voltage signal based on a reference voltage output from the reference voltage generators 70, 80; and a comparator 60 which compares the voltage signal output from the converter 30 with the threshold voltage signal output from the threshold voltage generator 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
