The roof (17) comprises a guiding roof (19) and a folding roof (20) made of steel or light metal, which are provided with spring elements for folding connection of the convertible roof top. The guiding roof and folding roof are provided with end pieces, which have insertion sections and supports (30) for the spring elements connecting the guiding roof and folding roof. An independent claim is included for a collapsible roof for a passenger vehicle, which comprises a hollow profile with a carrier.
