PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of reducing an air course distance to air suction by an electric blower while securing suction efficiency.SOLUTION: A dust collection device 22 is positioned on a side in one of directions crossing with the axial line A of an extension pipe 16. A body part 21 includes a body connection port 41 to which the extension pipe 16 is connected. The body part 21 includes a suction communication port 54 that is opened to face the dust collection device 22 in a direction to cross with the axial line A of the extension pipe 16 and allows the body connection port 41 to communicate with a suction port 74 of the dust collection device 22. The body part 21 includes an exhaust air communication port 55 that is opened to face the dust collection device 22 in a direction to cross with the axial line A of the extension pipe 16 at a position separated on the opposite side of the body connection port 41 with respect to the suction communication port 54 and communicates with the suction side of the electric blower 34. The electric blower 34 is arranged on the axial line A of the extension pipe 16 in the body part 21 so as to allow the suction side communicating with the exhaust air communication port 55 to be positioned on the side of the body connection port 41 from the exhaust air communication port 55.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
