PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which reduces a cost while suppressing reduction in a printing speed and preventing the occurrence of a malfunction in printing.SOLUTION: A control unit 10 of a printer 1 reads out font data of multi-language fonts from a first storage unit 111 or reads out font data of ANK fonts from a second storage unit 112, and controls a printing unit 14 so as to print characters on the basis of the read font data. Also, the control unit 10 writes printing-related information being information on the printing part 14 into the first storage unit 111, or controls the timings of reading-out and writing-in so that reading-out of the font data of the multi-language fonts from the first storage unit 111 and writing-in of the printing-related information to the first storage unit 111 are not simultaneously performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
