PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal surface treatment agent enabling a surface treatment film to be formed by one treatment step, the film allowing for impartment of sufficient adhesion to a resin layer and corrosion resistance to a surface of a metal material made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy.SOLUTION: The metal surface treatment agent is provided that is applied onto a surface of a metal material composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy to form a surface treatment film, and that contains zirconium, a phosphorus compound, and a water-soluble resin. The content (C) of the zirconium is 4,000-96,000 ppm in terms of zirconium atom, the content (C) of the phosphorus compound is 1,250-22,500 ppm in terms of phosphorus atom. The water-soluble resin contains a carboxyl group and has an acid number of 130-970 mgKOH/g. The content (C) of the water-soluble resin is 4,000-120,000 ppm in terms of solid content.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
