PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an operation stop instruction in a camera of which the operation member that implements a specific function is switched in accordance with an attitude of an image display monitor.SOLUTION: An attitude of an image display monitor 113 relative to a camera body 100 is made variable. During ordinary imaging, a screen 113S is turned to a back side and during self-imaging, the screen is turned in the same direction as a lens 200. During the ordinary imaging, a release operation is performed by a release button 12 on a top face of the camera body 100 and during the self-imaging, the release operation is performed by an operation button 13 on a front face of the camera body 100. An imaging mode is discriminated by monitoring the attitude of the image display monitor 113, and an operation member that performs the release operation is switched between the release button 12 and the operation button 13. If the imaging mode is switched in the middle of imaging such as dynamic image capturing or bulb imaging, an imaging end instruction may be performed by operating an operation member that has performed an imaging start instruction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
