<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a service life of a fuel cell by obtaining the advancing degree of carbon corrosion or the like after stop of power generation of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The diagnosis of the advancing degree of the deterioration of the fuel cell after the stop of power generation is conducted on the basis of a parameter relating to the advancing degree of deterioration of the fuel cell. As the parameter, the concentration of CO<SB>2</SB>in the outlet of a cathode can be used. Based on the diagnostic result, anode pressure is set higher than that during stop, or the temperature of cooling water of the fuel cell is set lower than that during stop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
