<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave pressure sintering method capable of shortening a firing period of time owing to a microwave heating process and enhancing an energy efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The microwave pressure sintering method for firing a material to be sintered with microwave and pressure comprises: a step for irradiating a susceptor and the material to be sintered with the microwave while pressurizing the material to be sintered arranged between a pair of the susceptors made from a material having self-heating characteristics by the microwave; and a step for pressure-sintering the material to be sintered by the heat transfer from the susceptor heated by the microwave and the self-heating of the material to be sintered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
