PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil lift detection method and apparatus for unloader equipment which enable exact detection that a coil transportation carriage has lifted a coil to a right position when the coil transportation carriage is used to lift the coil for removal out of an arm in unloader equipment.SOLUTION: A coil lift detection method for unloader equipment comprises: installing a distant measurement device that measures a distance to a coil surface above an arm when a coil transportation carriage is used to lift a coil for removal out of the arm in unloader equipment; memorizing a measurement value of the distant measurement device before the coil transportation carriage starts rise; constantly monitoring the measurement value of the distant measurement device while the coil transportation carriage rises; and determining that the coil transportation carriage has lifted the coil to a right position when a difference between the memorized measurement value and the monitored measurement value reaches a value in a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
