The invention relates to the use of a substance or composition of carbohydrate nature as active principle of a dermatological and/or cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical and/or protective and/or structuring and/or bioenergising composition or composition increasing cell or tissue energy reserves. This substance of carbohydrate nature is preferably chosen from monosaccharide, glycoside and heteroside structures. An improvement in cosmetodynamic activity is obtained.
