PURPOSE:To easily fold and store an air bag in a storing part of approximately trapezoidal shape. CONSTITUTION:Sack-shaped air bags 15 are arranged in a disc-shaped manner. The right side reference line R, the left side reference line, the front side reference line F, and the rear side reference line B are set on the air bag to the width and the longitudinal dimension of the storing part of the air bag device, and the inner side reference line C is set between the front and rear side reference lines F, B. The air bag is folded from the right and left side reference lines R to form a belt-shaped body which is long in the longitudinal direction. The front side part of the belt-shaped body is folded by a plurality of times between the front side reference line F and the inner side reference ling C to form the front side folded part 28. The rear side part of the belt-shaped body is overlapped on the front side folded part 28, and folded between the front side reference line F and the rear side reference line B to form the rear side folded part 29. The corner part 31 on each side of the rear side reference line B is set to the shape of the storing part, and folded between the rear side reference line B and the inner side reference line C. Thus, the corner part 31 can be easily folded into the space to the rear of the front side folded part 28. |
