PURPOSE:To provide a lubricating medical implement having a lubricating film high in lubricating property and excellent in durability formed thereon by directly coating a medical base material and its manufacturing method and to obtain a coating agent therefor. CONSTITUTION:This medical implement has a lubricating surface produced by applying a coating agent comprising a polyvinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer (or the partially esterified copolymer) or a fluoroacrylate copolymer containing a silicone and an organic solvent on a base material composing this medical implement followed by alkali treatment.
