PURPOSE:To provide a novel protein having cancer metastasis inhibitory activity, which is obtained by binding a peptide having a specific amino acid sequence and the cancer metastasis inhibitory activity to the carboxyl terminus of a serum albumen protein in high productivity with high efficiency using the recombinant DNA technique. CONSTITUTION:This novel protein has an activity of inhibiting cancer metastasis and is useful in treatment for cancer as a metastasis inhibitor. This protein can be directly produced in high efficiency using the gene recombination technique by linking a peptide having the amino acid sequence including the amino acid sequence represented by the formula and has cancer metastasis inhibitory activity to the carboxyl terminus of serum albumen protein. In an example, this new protein is produced by introducing a recombinant vector including the gene coding the protein having the cancer metastasis inhibitory activity, which is designed and synthesized using the codons frequently used in the cell bodies of a schizosaccharomyces, for example, Schizosaccharomyces pombe (ATCC 38399), into the host cells, for example, Schizosaccharomyces pombe or the like express the gene. |
