<p>PURPOSE: To update a program file without discontinuing the service of a multiprocessor system where plural duplex processors are connected together by plural communication paths. CONSTITUTION: An inter-processor channel management means 1 enables each processor to use an optional communication path as its working path to another processor. A working communication path switch means 2 performs the switching between a working communication path set between processors and a standby communication path. A new program file reception means 3 writes a new program file in the main storage of each standby CPU. Then a new program file starting means 4 starts the written new program file through a working CPU, and a new program file application means 5 confirms the operation of each new program file and then makes the standby CPUs side active all at once. Thus the program file is updated.</p> |
